Every once in a while I ask Mommy to go "home", I don't mean my new apartment either. I mean home ... where I was born ... where all my friends are ... where many people speak in French ... you know home! When I feel home sick like this Mommy and I talk about all the good times we had in Europe and we look at lots of pictures. It make me feel a little better.
I've met a few new friends here, but it's not like it used to be. I'm getting used to understanding everyone on the play ground for a change! And the fact that the library holds more books in English than in any other language is an advantage. So I guess it's not all that bad, just taking some time to get used to things the American way.

Time Flies
I can't believe it has been so long since I posted. I do have a bit of an excuse, Mommy lost the card reader, so I wasn't able to download my photos. It's all up and working now ... so check out some of my catch up posts below.

The Miller Invasion
I ended up having a great time when my cousins came to visit, but it took me a while to get warmed up to the idea of sharing my toys with someone again. It has been a long time since I was host of a play group. For some reason none of my Swiss friends can make it to my house to play anymore. Here we are at the kids table. Yep, that's me making sure Jill tries at least one bite of everything. I never did convince her into the asparagus.

Many photos
My buddies Miss 'Leen and Miss Jeannie reading me my bedtime story. They are so much fun, I wasn't sure it was a good idea to go to sleep. My other friends Miss Kelly and Miss Dee also visited this past week, but Mommy forgot to take pictures.
Trying on a summer outfit. Of course I didn't want to take it off, so Mommy had to turn the heat up and the fireplace on in order to keep warm.

Remember I told you that we celebrated Mama's birthday for a long time. Here I am making her cupcakes!

DC Flowers
We went to see the Cherry Blossoms in DC. We were a bit early, they mostly were just buds. We did get to see some cool ducks and to play on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial. We had to be real quite, like in a church, when we went to see the big statue. I liked checking out the tulip trees, which were in bloom. Then it was time to find some lunch and some flowers we could pick and take home for Aunt Helene. Here's the family photo with the Washington monument behind us. Mommy said we'd come back and visit when we had more time, as we can always stay with Uncle John!
Easter
We had lots of Easter fun. The Easter bunny put really cool things in my Easter basket and we even had an egg hunt!

Mama's Birthday
Today is Mama's birthday -- but we really celebrated it all week. Every time something came for her in the mail, I made sure that she opened it right up. She got some cool things, but the best was the stepping stone I made for her. I has my hand prints in it and also some very pretty stones. I worked a long time on it ... and then we had to wait a long time for it to dry.
Visit to Alexandria VA
We took a road trip. This was fun, we drove through some states I had never been to before. I'm working my way through all the states on the East coast. (I still need to get to a few way up north and those Carolina states in the middle!) We did lots of cool things. We had arts and crafts time with Uncle John. +

Visit to the Zoo
We met Uncle John at the Zoo in DC. It was fun we saw Panda bears, lions, tigers, elephants, zebras, gorillas, and orangutans. But we couldn't find the giraffes anywhere! I think they had gone on vacation and were busy seeing the sites in London ... but that's only official for the tabloid news!

I'm a slacker
OK, OK -- I know I haven't been very good at posting over the last few weeks. I'll make it up to you I promise. I'm even posting things to catch you up so read some of the other posts too.
Rainy Weeked
It has been a rainy weekend so far. So we've been doing more things around the "new apartment." Finally started to get some pictures hung. Here is a beautiful Poya painting that was an "au revoir" present from our good friends Jean-Yves and Olivier. Poya is a typical Swiss painting of cows -- go figure! Oh and don't get too excited the "friend" in the picture with me is a stuffed dalmatian, but I do call him Chance.

Still Organizing
Yep, still working on the organizing thing. Mommy is pretty good at it, but sometimes we have to break away and do other things ... you know like play in the park, take my dolly on a walk, go for a bike ride, go shopping, and just have fun.
Mommy took me to a new kind of shop called a library. They have a ton of books there. We spent a good hour looking at a bunch of different books and deciding which we wanted to take home with us. I worked hard to pick my books, I was traumatised when I was asked to hand them over to the lady at the desk. Mommy says that I'll get used to the process and eventually we took our books and went home. We can go back for more books when we are done with these ... and you know what, they even have a story time that I can come and listen to.

Friends visit
My buddies Miss Kelly and Miss Dee came over to visit and see what we'd done with all the boxes. They even brought me a cool new toy puppy. I named her Pippin and of course, I had to sleep with her. She has her own purse, backpack, ball, bone, and comb. I can't wait to go visit their house to see their real puppies. Soon!
We were so busy catching up that my Mommies forgot to take pictures of me playing with my buddies. I guess it will have to be next time.
