First PRIDE Weekend

This weekend was my first PRIDE weekend. There were really cool things to -- it started with a parade in New Hope. I got some beads and candy and stickers from the different floats. I saw the governor of PA, Mama said it was a big deal, but he was just a guy in a suit to me! I wasn't so sure at the motorcycle group -- they were very loud. At the end of the parade we had a nice meal and then went to find the other families with children my age. Of course they were all hanging out at the play ground! We made some kites to fly and even did an interview for a video. I met some really nice friends and so did my Mommies.

Sunday we went to a family disco dance too. In the beginning I wasn't so sure of things like the chicken dance and the Hokie Pokie ... but after a while I got into it! I had so much fun. We played games with hula hoops and balloons, and blowup musical instruments and such. We played musical chairs and a freeze dance. My favorite part was playing Duck, Duck, Goose. I still don't quite understand the rules, but I had a blast playing with my new friends. I also won the coolest prize a new pair of dress up shoes with Snow White on them. I wore them the whole time!

Even though my mommies forgot to bring the camera all weekend -- I had a great time and really enjoyed being surrounded by rainbow colors and the festivities of PRIDE. I'm so lucky to have two Mommies who love me very much! And I can't wait to catch up with my new friends again soon.
